State Auditor Diana DiZoglio Endorses Margie Palladino for Governor’s Council
Massachusetts State Auditor Diana DiZoglio has endorsed Margie Palladino (District 3*) for Governor’s Council.
Palladino entered the race after witnessing firsthand that a candidate’s promises on the campaign trail to secure support can evaporate once elected to office. In announcing her endorsement of Palladino, DiZoglio noted that, “trust, transparency, and independence matter deeply to me and to the people I serve. It is for these reasons that Margie Palladino is the obvious choice for Governor’s Council for District 3.” As a former trial attorney now focused on family court reform, Palladino is steady, principled, and can be trusted to exercise independent judgment when evaluating nominees for the Massachusetts judiciary and the Parole Board.
A graduate of Boston College Law School, Palladino practiced at every level of the Massachusetts court system and now uses her legal experience as a leading advocate for meaningful family court reform. In describing Palladino’s leadership, DiZoglio noted, “Margie is a remarkable coalition builder. She collaborated with the Family Court leadership and has brought together attorneys, lawmakers, academics, and advocates to advance reforms that promote fairness and ensure that the voices of those most affected by the court system are heard.”
Palladino’s advocacy has led to the passage of expanded protections for survivors of domestic abuse and reflects her tireless commitment to serving those whose voices are too often unheard. Palladino believes elected officials have a fundamental responsibility to listen to constituents, carefully weigh the facts, and reach decisions that serve the greater good, values shared by both DiZoglio and Palladino.
Palladino is committed to bringing greater transparency and accountability to the Governor’s Council. DiZoglio said, “Massachusetts voters seek governmental transparency. The Governor’s Council remains one of the most powerful and least transparent functions in state government. This body serves as a constitutional check on the Governor and provides confirmation for the lifetime appointments of judges, clemency petitions, and certain financial warrants. Citizens deserve a Councillor like Margie Palladino who values governmental transparency over political maneuvering, power, and control.”
Palladino will bring trust, integrity, and independent judgment to one of the Commonwealth’s most important and least visible constitutional offices. A vote for Margie Palladino on September 1 is a vote for transparency, accountability, and independent judgment.
